BloombergNEF forecast for kerosene demand in the next 12 weeks (in million b / d). From left to right by region: America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Asia Pacific, Worldwide. Source: BloombergNEF
Data on the number of flights scheduled for the next 12 weeks from airports around the world suggests that global demand for kerosene will remain low until early June and will average about 3.2 million barrels per day during this period, writes BloombergNEF.
Despite notable increases in departures from US and Chinese airports, international flights, which typically cover longer distances and therefore consume more fuel, remain low due to coronavirus restrictions.
