Gemini: 14% of Americans own a cryptocurrency, and another 13% plan to buy it in the coming year

Cryptocurrency is owned by 14% of Americans, according to the results of a study conducted by the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange. The survey, which was conducted from October 19 to November 16, 2020, involved 3,000 respondents aged 18 to 65, living in households with an annual income of $ 40,000 or more.

If we extrapolate the figure of 14% to the entire population of the United States, it turns out that over 21 million Americans own the cryptocurrency. Gemini predicts that their number will double in 2021.

74% of cryptocurrency holders in the US are male, and 77% of cryptocurrency holders are under 45. 71% of cryptocurrency holders are white.
